The ‘Pastels’ Project

This was one of my very first projects that I worked on, called ‘Pastels.’ This project involved designing 36 individual posts that, when viewed together, form a beautiful gradient effect that flows seamlessly through the entire pastel colour spectrum—from soft purples to delicate reds.

Bringing Colours to Life

Each post in the ‘Pastels’ series featured an item associated with a specific color, carefully chosen to represent that shade. Some of my personal favorites include iconic items like the Apple MacBook, a £1 Coin, a Nintendo GameBoy, and an Apple iPhone. These objects not only matched their respective hues perfectly but also brought a sense of nostalgia and modernity to the project.

A Creative Challenge

The real challenge—and the fun—was in ensuring that each post stood strong on its own while also contributing to the overall gradient effect. It was a meticulous process of blending colors and selecting items that complemented the visual flow from one post to the next.

A Visual Journey

The ‘Pastels’ project was a labor of love, allowing me to explore the intersection of color theory, design, and storytelling on a platform as dynamic as Instagram. Seeing the final result—a cohesive, gradient journey through pastel colors—was incredibly rewarding, and I’m excited to share it with the world.
